The Accounting Study Program of Janabadra University Yogyakarta has once again demonstrated its commitment to realizing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through community service activities. In synergy with the Accounting Department Student Association (HMJ-A), this activity was carried out as a form of real contribution from the academic community to improving literacy and the welfare of the surrounding community. Accounting Student Association Conducts Community Service in Warungboto Sub-district with Preanur Village On May 17, 2025, the Accounting Department Student Association carried out Community Service activities with the theme "Building an Empowered Digital Society: Synergy of Technology, Education, and Entrepreneurship." This activity took place with the MSME community under the auspices of Warungboto Sub-district, Yogyakarta under the name Preanur Village. This service is specifically aimed at Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the area, with the aim of improving financial literacy and managerial capacity of local business actors so that they are able to compete in the digital era. The event was divided into two main sessions. The first session was a simple financial management seminar for MSMEs, which aimed to provide a basic understanding of the importance of recording and managing business finances. The second session continued with the practice of making simple financial reports, guided directly by Mr. Handoko Arwi Hastoro, S.E., M.Sc., an academic in the field of accounting. This activity was also attended by the Head of Warungboto Village, Mr. Weda Satria, who gave a speech and gave full support to the students' initiative in empowering local communities. With this activity, it is hoped that collaboration between the academic world and the community can continue to be established, and become a real step in encouraging digital transformation and economic independence of residents through applicable and sustainable education.

Community service
The Accounting Study Program of Janabadra University not only excels in research and education, but is also active in community service activities that have a direct positive impact. Through various initiatives, this study program has built close collaboration with various stakeholders, including villages and MSME communities. One significant achievement is the development of ready-to-use products for MSMEs based on accounting knowledge. By utilizing their expertise and resources, Janabadra Accounting lecturers and students work together with small and medium business actors to identify their needs in financial management and tax reporting. The results are practical and measurable products, such as a simple financial recording system and tax reporting guides that help MSMEs improve operational efficiency and tax compliance. In addition, the community service activities of this study program are also documented and published in a community service journal. This publication not only disseminates the results of their work, but also inspires the academic community and practitioners to be further involved in efforts to make real contributions to society. The Accounting Study Program of Janabadra University also actively involves students in community service activities through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. Students not only apply the theories they learn in real contexts, but also develop meaningful leadership and collaboration skills in helping to solve social and economic problems around them. With a strong commitment to sustainable and impactful community service, the Accounting Study Program of Janabadra University continues to show real contributions in improving the quality of life of the community, driving the local economy, and forming future leaders who are responsible and care about sustainability.
